In this project, Tran Ngoc Vang's role has garnered much attention. He plays Chi, the husband of Jennifer Truc Nguyen (played by Meritorious Artist Oc Thanh Van). A model husband, Chi returns to Vietnam after a period of living abroad. However, he must confront the dark secrets of his own past.
When the first footage of the film was revealed, Tran Ngoc Vang's daring scene attracted attention. At the event, when asked about this scene, the 9X actor affirmed that from the moment he received the script until filming, he always placed his trust in the director's guidance and the crew. According to the actor, each scene appearing on screen has a specific purpose, serving the plot of the story.
Tran Ngoc Vang shared that this was the first time he had seen his scene on screen, so he was somewhat surprised. However, the actor believes that as long as the scene serves the story and expresses the character's emotions, "there's nothing for me to be embarrassed about." "Thank you to the crew for giving me a comfortable atmosphere to film this scene. Therefore, I think this isn't a gimmick to attract viewers, but everything that happens will portray the character's portrait, story, and personality more clearly," he shared.
Continuing, director Luu Thanh Luan affirmed that the imagery in the film "Five-Toed Pig" had a clear purpose. "Actually, if I revealed everything now, the film wouldn't be interesting anymore. I believe that when people watch the film, they will understand why those scenes were necessary," the director shared.
Meanwhile, actress Thanh Thủy's participation in the horror film "Five-Toe Pig" has also sparked much curiosity. The actress revealed that she had to use sleeping pills frequently while working on this horror project. Thanh Thủy explained that filming mainly took place from 3 PM the previous day until the following morning. Upon returning to her room, she had to focus on resting to recover her strength and ensure the crew's filming schedule. "When accepting a role, first and foremost, I have to like it and be responsible for my character," she said.
The actress further shared that during the working process, she often "caused difficulties" and even disagreed with the director on several occasions. Speaking about being selective about roles, Thanh Thủy admitted: "I have to clearly understand my role and character so that when we're on set, everyone can work together seamlessly to get a scene that makes me feel confident. I really liked reading this script because it has high educational value."
