US stocks end lower as Treasury yields rise

New York [US], September 30: US stocks fell at the close on Tuesday as government bond yields continued to rise ahead of the release of inflation and labour market data.
The S&P 500 index declined by 11.12 points, or 0.14%, to close at 7,672.57 points, while the Nasdaq Composite fell 17.72 points, or 0.08%, to 26,802.66 points. The Dow Jones Industrial Average also dropped 136.10 points, or 0.26%, to 51,345.41 points.
