Seoul [South Korea], April 15: In 2018, Lana Condor (Vietnamese name: Tran Dong Lan ) went from being a relatively unknown actress to a global Netflix phenomenon when she starred as Lara Jean Covey in the teen romance film * To All the Boys I've Loved Before* . Vogue magazine once called her the new "darling" of American television. Condor's Instagram account quickly exploded from around 100,000 followers to 5.5 million, and currently, the 29-year-old star has over 10.6 million followers. The image of Lara Jean Covey, portrayed by the Vietnamese-American beauty, became so popular that many female students sought to emulate and imitate the character's fashion style.
The popularity of To All the Boys I've Loved Before also prompted Netflix to release two sequels: To All the Boys: PS I Still Love You (2020) and To All the Boys: Always and Forever (2021). This franchise quickly became a springboard that helped the actress, born in 1997, establish her own position in Hollywood as she does today.
